iPad Digital Art Camp/Music & Motion
Donna Warwick is a multi-talented teaching artist with experience as a writer, composer, dancer and visual/digital artist. Her unique, interdisciplinary camps are a welcome addition to Class Act’s summer offerings.
Donna was a co-founder of the Champaign Urbana Ballet and served on the Board of Directors for 12 years. She has over 20 years of dance training and is an experienced elementary and preschool teacher. Currently, she is on the faculty of the Center for Creative Arts (COCA) in St. Louis and is an arts enrichment specialist at several St. Louis area schools, where she teaches her original Artsfusion Method arts integration program, her newly created Digital Artsfusion for the I-Pad, as well as elementary school theatre, ballet, creative movement and art. For the past 4 years Donna has been artist-in-residence at University Primary School, where her specialty is in creating student group art installation and video exhibits.
A strong advocate for making the arts available to all, Donna founded C-U Ballet’s Tickets for Kids Program, which provides area school children free tickets to The Nutcracker and other children’s ballets. Living and raising her children in Champaign for over 25 years, she previously taught early childhood ballet at Champaign Ballet Academy, Artsfusion at Montessori, and the Kindermusik/Tot Note programs through the Conservatory of Central Illinois, where she also served on the Board of Directors.
Donna is especially happy to return to Champaign-Urbana and offer her creative summer camps at Class Act, where she and founder Natalie Ellis developed the popular Fairytale Theatre programs.
